Tasted Sept 2006. Good solid California Red, priced appropriately. Nice red/black fruit on the nose, light tannins, juicy fruit flavors and balanced acidity. Medium body. Slight bitter after taste, but very faint. Current release is 2004 and blend is a little different, retail is $14. Picked this bottle up at World Market. Good party wine, or dinner with friends. Great looking label...

I have a strong partiality to this wine, enjoying it immensely on my trip up to Niagara. Baco Noir, as a hybrid grape that can withstand New York's intense seasonal climate change. Color Purple & ruby Nose: Some toasty oak acts as an undercurrent to the blackberry fruit and even some cherry Palate: Tastes a bit young, with good tannic structure, not to be anticipated for a state-wide wine. Tastes as if there is some Cab Sauv in there, but I can't find any info on the wine ... integrate over the next year or so. Great depths of fruit and acidity. Good stuff...
