Spectacular complexity in this wine. I drank this over a 5 hour span, and it was decanted during that time. Initial nose has fresh cherry and blackberry notes with just a hint of licorice-like sugar along with some "soily" aspects. After about 1.5 hours decanting, the nose had transformed, less of the fruit and licorice-like sweetness, and more of a wood and smoke, meaty, light pickle-juice...
