This was a pretty interesting wine. It's got a very fruity jam flavor on the tongue, with just a hint of cocoa. There’s a nice subtly spicy finish, and a decent amount of tannin. With the first glass, I thought “eh, damned meritage, it’s _way_ too sweet…”, but towards the end, I really changed my tune and started to enjoy it. Definitely an interesting pick...

This is just an ok chardonnay. It's quite oakey (which i reckon is good, if you're into that), with flavors of pineapple and maybe a bit of pear on the tongue. It seems like the balance of the acidity in the finish was just kinda off... I guess it was ...

2001 Miguel Torres S.A. Cabernet Sauvignon Penedès Mas La Plana - Spain, Catalunya, Penedès (12/7/2006) Intense deep reddish purple in color. The nose is complex showing, chocolate, clove, green pepper, spices, and black currents. Rich int eh mouth but with fine tannins, and a finish that lingers for more that 30seconds. Cherry, chocolate, pepper, toasted nuts and vanilla all mix in the mouth...
