Color: Deep and dark purple/garnet Nose: Red berry and black berry fruit, with a Creme Brulée and some spicy coffee aromas. Palate: Not as full port-bodied as anticipated, but still good, with the same fruit and creme as on the palate, but the spice, clove and pepper are more pronounced here and on the finish, in this dessert wine made from traditional Portuguese varietals...

This USED to be my favorite everyday wine until I started drinking pinot grigio, then this seemed a little sweet and sugary for me. I still love it with creme brulee though...

No great wine and food match today - although if you must know it was some locally made fried sausages with mash potato laced with creme fraiche, basil and garlic - all that was required from the wine...

A very good example of the quality of Cabernet that McLaren Vale can produce. Blueberry / creme de cassis fruit characters. Opened up significantly after being open a couple of hours, and still tasted great the next day...
