Very deep, thick, dense purple robe. Pleasant smell of tobacco and spice that fills the room when you open the bottle. Full-bodied taste with a strong accent of pepper that develops into more ample, subtle fruit tastes in your mouth as you sip. Nice, round final that leaves you begging for more. A beautiful wine to experiment with cheese. To me, Henry of Pelham's Baco is one of the best...

I really liked this wine at the winery, but after getting it home, it seems much too...spicy. Even after decanting, the wine has a peppery bite which I just don't love. It did not pair that well with my bread and cheese, and what wine doesn't pair well with cheese? ...

I have a strong partiality to this wine, enjoying it immensely on my trip up to Niagara. Baco Noir, as a hybrid grape that can withstand New York's intense seasonal climate change. It's the color that draws you in first: an unbelievably powerful ruby red, as if was hit with sunlight.
Bone dry, with enough lightness and acidity to keep it distinct away from the vinifera grapes. But the fruit...
