The wine is full-bodied and has a velvety texture. It tastes like supple leather with fig, berry, and a spice ending. The tannins are pleasant. Wine Spectator gave it an 89. It may be a bit over the top big, but it is still a great value and a very pleasant wine.

Pezzuli 2006 Malbec
Pezzulis Malbec is classic, with somewhat brooding aromas anddarkish fruit that has an herbal, almost resiny edge to it. We alsofound pretty floral nuances, and we liked the quality of soft oak,which is not so strong that it hides the fruit. Drink now through 2008.
