And every once in a while, the winemaker's description helps a lot. What the hell is this, I thought, tasting nothing much interesting. But I looked on the site and read what the vintner had to say. Cinnamon? No way. But then I had another sip and there it is, dead center in the wine, a shot of yummy cinnamon. I didn't taste it because I had never come across cinnamon in a red wine before, but once I knew it was there, there it was. From my little pooh-bear experience, this wine went from a no thanks to a yes, please.
