Korbel Brut Champagne
Just had some of this with Kim and Heidi while tasting some other "Champagne". It was meant to be a baseline for our ratings, and I think it did that pretty well. I give it 3 stars. Not great, but not too bad. The commercials are funny making Korbel look very glamorous, even though it retails ... consistently Korbel for the more experimental out there. Next time I try it, I'll try to take down...

Color: light yellow, like a sauv blanc. Large bead. Nose: Sweetie nose of candied ludens and christmas candy, marzipan. Palate: Semisweet with decent acidity, but not enough to combat the sweetness and end crisply. Sweet almond and marzipan on the finish, too. More of a dessert wine, I'd say. Interesting that they can still call themselves "Champagne," especially since they don't even use...
