1996 Etude Cabernet Sauvignon

Reviewed by on Sunday, October 21, 2007 on Wine Reviews from WineLog.net

Color: nice medium dark burgundy, hints of edge browning. Nose: Musty yet still quite fresh for its age. Some cherries and other red fruit come to the fore after swirling. Palate: Leathery mustiness here too, but not in a bad way. More fruit than the '94, this wine is doing very well. Very enjoyable and from a Jeroboam, at least, still young enough to hang onto for awhile. Balance structured, more traditional Pinot fans will like this wine. Medium-bodied with good finish.
