Tasted by topher18. Beautiful dark garnet color. Nose has a hint of Oregon pinot funk, black raspberry and mint. Palate teases with dark cherry and those raspberries, but there is no weight at all to this wine. This is a surprisingly thin wine. There are noticeable tannins, but once they arrive there is no more fruit. The finish is very short. This wine is quite drinkable, but for $23, a definite PASS.

Tasted by Varus. Pretty bottle and label. The nose is very boring - just grapefruit and a vague hint of leek (a real shame). Many swirls of the glass did little to reveal more layers. The wine continues to neither wow, nor disappoint on the palete - it has nice mouth feel and a good amount of sugar to make it rather easy to drink. And it contains just enough acidity to make it refreshing. But overall this wine is something of a letdown. Pinot Gris in this price range should deliver a razor sharp acidity that really makes for an exciting wine - this does not deliver on that front. Chte. St. Michelle brings far more to the table with this style of wine for much less money.....PASSSSSSSSSS on this one, folks. (83 pts.) - Tasted 3/1/2008. [FIND IT!]
