Tasting notes: Triennes' flagship red wine is a blend of Syrah, Cabernet Sauvigon and Merlot. A dark, dense wine with purple hues, it shows spicy aromas combined with ripe fresh fruit. The palate is rich and full of life with plenty of structure. This is a wine that needs some air to truly open up and show its best.

There's a crystal clarity to the berry and cherry flavors. Powerful, almost tannic, with plenty of mineral and spice notes. The long finish lingers with white pepper and wisps of red peach. Drink now through 2011. 7,280 cases made.
