Smell reminds me of a dark berry. Well balanced and smooth, not too dry. A little tart, earthy, hints of tobacco and oak. Very good and tasty. Would definitely recommend.

Nobilo says: Premium vineyard sites in the Hawkes Bay region were harvested in optimum condition and a portion of the fruit was fermented on open top vessels. This well balanced wine has earthy and intense berry fruit flavors, complemented with vanillin oak.

Color: Deeper garnet with some purple flecks



Nose: Good dark fruit, but more oak than I typically like with toasty vanilla and some dusty notes



Palate: Full-bodied, this has some great black fruit with red on the finish, but it is a bit overwhelmed by the heavy toasted oak.

Fleshy and ripe, with very good depth to lemon curd, mango and candied pink grapefruit flavors. Lemon-lime, horseradish and wet stone undertones linger. Drink now. 4,500 cases made.
