This time of year the wine lover is inundated with T-day wine recommendations..."German Riesling is perfect with turkey"...."A Beaujolais is a sure bet on Thanksgiving"...."Burgundy, both red ... after turkey day?  May I suggest a Vermentino , not from the sardinian coast, but from Lodi ... of turkey enchiladas paired to Uvaggio Vermentino 2006 ($10) .   It will be the best wine-food...

I went to Ralph's Meats today to pick up our fresh turkey.  The owners told us earlier this week ... , including the turkey,  into a milk crate and carried it out to the truck for me.  So it wasn't until I arrived home that I discovered we had a 26-pound turkey!!  Yikes.  We need a last minute change of plans . . . Our original plan was to put a citrus-stuffed turkey on our Weber rotisserie...
