East side, west side... all around the... vineyard...
August... the leaves have been pulled off the fruit zone... thousands of them. You can see in these top two photos how the canes have been stripped and what's left on the ground. Leaves are only stripped on the east side of the row; if you stripped leaves on the west side the grapes are subject to sunburn. Wayward shoots have been tucked into the trellis and tied up. Ron continues to hedge...
