Postcard: Subiaco
If there is a place in Perth that radiates money and fortune it is Subiaco. The main drag (Hay and Rokeby) is a mix of turn of the century architecture and modern edifice, with the buildings inhabited by every designer need you could imagine. The food offering is diverse in ...

Postcard: Cooked centipede on a stick
If there is a marketplace for cooked centipedes on a stick, it would have to be China. My dear and talented sister (who took this photo, whilst visiting Beijing) reports that they are quite crunchy and possibly the most disgusting thing she has ever eaten.http://feeds.feedburner.com/WinoSapien
Blogger postcard arrives
Finally my blogger postcard arrives from Shammi in Shrewsbury. Funnily enough I know the biscuit – which I love – and the town very well from trips from home to Borth in Wales.
Can anybody answer me this though, is it pronounced Shrew sbury or Shrow sbury?
Receiving a nice solid proper shop-bought postcard makes me feel shabby for sending a home made one printed on a crappy bit of postcard...

Postcard from Oz
The Pinnacles is an easy 3 hour drive north of Perth. It is a strange landscape, thousands of rock formations in a sea of sand. In the comfort of an air-conditioned car, driving around the formations, it is easy to forget what a God forsaken place this is. Some of ...

a postcard from morey st.denis
Friday was picture-postcard perfect weather. At this time of year you finally get the mix of red and yellow leaves on the vines that delineate the vineyards so well - perhaps it will last as long as this pleasant 20° heat before the leaves will finally fall - it’s very pretty while it lasts. The late heat of this Indian Summer can be seen with renewed growth on many vines - new green shoots...
