Mourvedre is a grape variety with a few aliases. It was once known in Australia as Mataro, and you can still find a few wines with that name on the label. In Spain where it is very widely grown it is called Morastell. In Australia we now use the name Mourvedre as it is called in the Rhone ... using it.
