Paternoster Del Vulture Synthesi 2003 at A16
I've been to A16 on Chestnut Street a couple of times before, but only to sample the amazing Italian selections by the glass and enjoy the Marina scene. Last night, I finally dined there and had some good dishes and one excellent value Aglianico that I thought I should share.
Admittedly, my knowledge of Italian wines is pretty limited, but repeat visits to A16 surely will help...

Just when I had given up hope on ever finding this aglianico it finally appeared. I had searched 5+ stores multiple times with no success. Being as persistent as I am it finally paid off this weekend down in Daly City where I found it in abundance on the shelves. I grabbed a case! Get it while the getting is good...

Today we were in the heart of Aglianico di Taurasi territory. We met with the Boccella brothers, Raffaele and Giovanni and retasted wines that we tried some months ago.
