People with large noses can smell the better things in life.
Have a couple of spoonfuls of honey before heading off to bed each night. For some people, eating a small amount of honey before bed can decrease snoring. Honey is used in folk remedies to soothe many health conditions, so it is not surprising that it may help snoring as well. If you have snoring issues that other remedies won’t treat, this could be a sign that the snoring is related to sleep apnea. If you notice that you are always tired, wake up abruptly while gasping for air, or stop breathing in your sleep, see a doctor immediately. Sleep apnea is a serious condition that not only brings issues in your day to day life, but also puts you at risk for vascular disease. Ironically, by taking sleeping pills, you could end up snoring. Therefore, if you do not take them, you will greatly reduce the risk of snoring. The way sleeping pills function is by relaxing your muscles. The muscles in your throat and soft palate, which are responsible for holding your nasal passages open, will also sag. This leads to snoring, not the result you were looking for!
Visit your doctor if you begin to store after falling pregnant. Sometimes snoring during a pregnancy can be attributed to a little bit of weight gain, but there are times when it is a result of hormone imbalances. Snoring can deprive your unborn baby of the oxygen it needs for development, so consult a doctor if you have this issue. If you are with child and begin snoring, consult your physician. Everything from weight gain to a flux in hormones can cause the muscles in your throat to constrict or relax too much. This leads to snoring and sleep apnea, a condition which can jeopardize your baby’s health.
If you have a problem of snoring, you should blow your nose, then use a nasal spray of just saline before you retire to bed. Keeping airways hydrated and clear can let you breathe easily while you slumber. If your nasal passages are clear, you’ll be more probable to breathe via your nose, rather than your mouth. It may be hard to believe, but singing out loud may help decrease your snoring incidents. Some doctors recommend singing as a means for building up palate and throat muscles. By toning these muscles, you can prevent some of the narrowing of the muscles, and stop snoring from disturbing your sleep.
