Very nice, drinkable wine. A little high on the price - try Brancott Vineyards, Oyster Bay or Villa Maria SBs for comparison. Those three are lower in price...

Morro Bay Chardonnay 2004 Tasting Note from Wine Reviews from WineLog.net Bookmark this Tasting Note
A very light Chardonnay, that is not extremely oaky. It is a good value for the money, and is a very well balanced chard. A nice aroma of pears and honeysuckle this wine is perfect for everyday drinking.

I like Cloudy Bay, but have never understood what all the fuss is about. It's hard to find, relatively expensive, and of exactly the same quality as much more readily available NZ SBs like Villa Maria or Kim Crawford...

Color: Deeper garnet with some purple flecks Nose: Good dark fruit, but more oak than I typically like with toasty vanilla and some dusty notes Palate: Full-bodied, this has some great black fruit with red on the finish, but it is a bit overwhelmed by the heavy toasted oak.
