Duplin Winery Muscadine North Carolina NV Tasting Note from Winegeeks.com Wine Reviews Bookmark this Tasting Note
Jj2240 posted a review: Muscadine (Vitis rotundifolia) and NC wines in general are underrated and this should be corrected. Carolina Red from the Duplin Winery is one of their cheaper wines yet it has a very intense and flavorful taste. It is a great every day/anytime wine and also goes well with fruits or other deserts. Rating: 4.35 / 5.00...

Signature Biltmore 2001 North Coast Syrah Tasting Note from Corkd.com Bookmark this Tasting Note
This was given as a gift to my girlfriend, so we opened it the other night at dinner. It was a bit rough, so I don't think I would recommend this to anyone. It wasn't terrible, I've definitely had much much worse.

Color: pale straw Nose: Peaches and other white fruit dominate, with heavier tropical fruit underneath and then some citrus Palate: Surprisingly almost full-bodied (probably from the Sémillon), despite being so crisp and refreshing. Great mix of citrus, tropical and creamy finish, with upstanding acidity. Tasted from their "mini tank."
